In conversation with bestselling crime thriller author Peter James – Review

More than 50 people braved the unseasonable downpour and turned up to Waterstones, New Street in Huddersfield to see bestselling author Peter James ‘In Conversation’ with Michelle Hodgson of Key Words.

The event, held on 14 June 2012, proved very popular with local readers and there were lots of interesting questions from the floor about Peter’s writing career.

Peter also talked about his career as a film producer, working with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, and recounted some very entertaining stories, including one involving a movie star, a rooster and a very unhappy hotel manager!

On the day of the event, Peter received the good news that his latest Roy Grace detective novel, Not Dead Yet, had entered the bestseller lists at number one – after only three days of sales. Peter also talked about the paperback edition of his standalone novel, Perfect People, which deals with the thorny issue of designer babies.

Michelle and Peter, who last saw each other when Michelle worked for Peter’s publishers in the early to mid-1990s, also enjoyed catching up on each others’ news.
