Find out how the creative industries can work together and with other businesses at a seminar presented by HCAN (Huddersfield Creative Arts Network; www.hcan.org.uk).

Michelle Hodgson of Key Words will join HCAN chair Carole Pattison and board members Rebecca Legg of Chol Theatre and Richard Bates of Bates Mill at the free seminar on Thursday 26 September.

Organised as part of Kirklees Business Week (24-28 September), the seminar will take place from 12.30-1.30pm on 26 September at the Galpharm Stadium in Huddersfield the day before the Kirklees Business Conference.

Topics covered will include:

  • How the creative sector can reach a wider audience
  • How business can benefit from engaging with the creative community, from staff training and development to corporate responsibility
  • How the creative sector can forge links with business from funding and sponsorship to reciprocal services
  • The cultural differences between business and the creative sector
  • How HCAN can promote the creative arts through the innovative Ideas Incubator and networking opportunities
